“When we created Trinity in 1986, it was with the conviction that venture capitalists should work with entrepreneurs in a highly collaborative way.”
Noel Fenton Noel Fenton Noel Fenton

“As a co-founder of three venture backed startups (and CEO at two of them), I believed that our firm could differentiate itself by forming genuine partnerships with our CEOs. That kind of partnership means being available, listening, empathizing, sharing experience, mentoring (when appropriate), and ultimately helping the entrepreneur create an enterprise with a strong culture and lasting value. At Trinity Ventures, our experience spans more than 150 startups, which enables us to provide valuable perspective to complement the work of passionate, focused entrepreneurs.”

Noel Fenton, General Partner

Noel has been part of the Silicon Valley venture capital community for 40 years. Prior to co‐founding Trinity Ventures in 1986, he was co‐founder of three successful technology startups, and CEO of two of them, Covalent Systems and Acurex. From 1983 to 1986, he led Covalent Systems from start‐up to a profitable $12 million sales level in three years. He led Acurex from 1972 to 1982 during a period when sales increased nearly tenfold to $65 million with continuous profitability. Noel is actively involved in the World Presidents’ Organization and the Stanford Athletic Board, and is a past chairman of the Northern California Chapter of the Young Presidents’ Organization and a past chairman of the American Electronics Association.
