Rebecca Miller, Director of Marketing
Rebecca joined Trinity Ventures in 2011 and is responsible for the firm’s marketing, including content strategy, events & workshops, social media, public relations, strategic partnerships, and messaging. She also advises Trinity’s early – mid stage portfolio companies on their marketing and communications, and assists them with marketing resources and execution.
Prior to Trinity she worked at the social enterprise Samasource as Chief of Staff where she managed the Founder/CEO’s PR and Communications and created content for the company’s marketing. Among her many duties at Samasource, Rebecca directed the 2010 Give Work Gala. Chaired by Michael Arrington and emceed by Mayor Cory Booker, the event raised over $350,000 to bring computer skills and digital microwork to marginalized workers who need it most.
Rebecca began her career at the Commonwealth Club of California as an Associate Program Coordinator, arranging events and speaker series around people such as Margaret Atwood, Madeleine Albright and Barack Obama with topics varying from politics to environmental issues to technology.
Before graduating from the University of San Francisco Rebecca was active in the writing and literary community, helping bridge talent within the school to the larger literary scene via the Emerging Writers Festival. She also researched land conservation and traveled to the Yucatan Peninsula to track jaguars in an effort to protect critical areas of the Selva Maya jungle.
Rebecca is an executive board member of San Francisco Symphony’s Symphonix league and a board member of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art’s SECA (Society for the Encouragement of Contemporary Art). A native of Montana, she’s an avid fly-fisherwoman. She holds degrees from the University of San Francisco in Classic Literature and Environmental Studies.
