Softwares
Trinity has had a successful and active software investment practice since 1986.

We invest in infrastructure and application software companies, who offer their products as on-demand services, in appliances or as licensed products; as open source, proprietary code or a hybrid. We’re interested in solutions aimed at IT, vertical markets, corporate users, small business users and, in some cases, products that may be used by consumers.

We look for companies that use software or the Internet to radically change and improve business functions. We look for:
  • Passionate, smart developers writing scalable software that's hard to do
  • Solutions that disrupt cost structure and pricing
  • Defensible, high-margin business models, often featuring recurring revenues
  • Efficient sales and distribution models
  • Creative use of the Internet as an application platform or customer acquisition vehicle
  • Ability to generate and monetize content, often proprietary and industry-specific in nature, as a primary or secondary revenue source
