Nick has held senior operating roles for public and private companies in both enterprise and consumer technology markets. Prior to joining Trinity Ventures in 2007, Nick spent more than 5 years at Symantec Corporation (NASDAQ: SYMC) and VERITAS Software Corporation (acquired by Symantec in 2005). Most recently, Nick was a Vice President at Symantec. He was General Manager of the Enterprise Vault information archiving and discovery software business at Symantec from its acquisition in 2004 to 2007. During this time, the Enterprise Vault business grew from $23 MM in annual sales in 2004 to $200 MM in 2007 and achieved recognition from Gartner, Forrester, IDC and Radicati as the leading product in the market. Nick also held other roles leading product management for all email-related businesses at Symantec (Enterprise Vault and the BrightMail Anti-Spam product line) and previously for the company’s Storage Resource Management software product line (CommandCentral). In his 5 years, Nick has also been heavily involved in the acquisition and/or integration of many startups including KVS, Invio Software, Ejasent, Jareva and IMlogic. Prior to VERITAS, Nick led product management at XDegrees, a venture-funded startup building a breakthrough global file system which was eventually sold to Microsoft Corporation. Before XDegrees, Nick was the co-founder and vice president of marketing at venture-funded e-commerce pioneer Chipshot.com. At Chipshot.com, he helped build the company into one of the top 20 online retailers and the #1 overall online golf retailer. Nick has also held various financial and technical positions at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette Securities Corporation, Goldman Sachs & Co., and IBM.
