Karan joined Trinity Ventures in 2010 with more than ten years of experience in enterprise software and systems, SaaS, semiconductors, consumer electronics and next generation datacenter infrastructure technologies. Prior to Trinity, Karan was a Senior Associate at Scale Venture Partners and was actively involved with Scale’s investments in NComputing, Siimpel (acquired by Tessera) and Discera. At Scale, Karan focused on enterprise infrastructure including storage, virtualization and cloud computing, enterprise software and SaaS.
Before Scale he was a Strategic Sales Account Manager at Synopsys.He was instrumental in closing more than $40 Million in strategic and territorial design wins during 2006 and 2007 and directed the sales effort for Synopsys’ software suite, IP and professional services.He also led marketing, applications and sales efforts for his team’s top accounts and worked closely with the company’s strategic customers and product management teams on the development of new products.Prior to Synopsys, he was an implementation manager in the fabless semiconductor market for PMC-Sierra in Vancouver, Canada.During his five years with PMC-Sierra, he led and managed design implementation of large scale ASICs targeted for the telecommunications, enterprise storage and networking markets.
